ALLEN, Henry Ead - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Henry Ead Allen, 73, of 111 W Monroe St., Attica, died Sunday, June 28, 1970 at Community Hospital in Williamsport. He had been a patient there three weeks and had been in ill health eight years. Born May 12, 1897, in Holbrook, Neb., he was the son of Robert Sidney and Martha Jane Allen. He was married Jan. 30, 1930, at Denver, Colo., to Efie May Wantland, who survives. Mr. Allen had resided in Bartley, Neb. before coming to Attica 28 years ago. He was a graduate of a Nebraska high school and had been a pre-heater at the Aluminum Co. of America plant in Lafayette. He had been employed there 30 years, retiring about eight years ago. He was a veteran of World War I. Other survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Betty Edwards of Attica, Mrs. Lillian King of Nampa, Idaho, and Mrs. Elsie Lang of Ft. Morgan, Colo., two step sons, Herbert and Charles Hann, both of Attica; two sisters, Mrs. Amy Winters of Washington State and Mrs. Glenn Majors of Oregon; a brother, Frank Allen of Washington State; 10 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren. Services Wednesday at the DeSutter Funeral Home, Rev. Harry Randolph officiating. Burial in Riverside cemetery.
